Our history

MOSI Srl specialises in the design and implementation of advanced continuous structural monitoring systems. Our company has grown out of decades of experience in the structural monitoring sector, during which we have acquired in-depth expertise and developed advanced technological solutions. Our technicians and engineers draw on a long tradition of excellence in structural safety management, successfully applied across numerous civil and industrial sectors. We have decades of experience in the prefabricated construction sector, which represents a key added value in our integrated approach to the safety and durability of structures.

BBOX is our innovative structural monitoring system, currently available in version 2.0. Unrivalled in terms of effectiveness and reliability, BBOX is now at the heart of our business, but it is not our only area of interest.

Our main objective is to ensure safety and operational continuity in buildings and civil and industrial structures, as well as in infrastructure such as bridges, viaducts and dams.

BBOX 2.0 is an advanced continuous structural monitoring system designed to analyse the condition of buildings and infrastructure over time, detecting any anomalies, deterioration or changes.

Furthermore, in the event of earthquakes, floods or other critical environmental events, it provides objective data for a prompt assessment of structural integrity.

Technology and Innovation

The BBOX 2.0 system includes latest-generation MEMS sensors and a central data acquisition unit, the Datalogger.

BBOX 2.0 Sensors:

  • Triaxial MEMS accelerometer with sampling up to 1,000 data points per second per axis.
  • Configurable sampling: 32/62.5/125/250/500/1000 Hz measurements per second per axis.
  • Inclinometer function with resolution up to 0.001° and accuracy of 0.01°.
  • Acceleration measurement range from -2g to +2g.
  • Noise floor of 22.5 μg/√Hz.
  • Integrated temperature sensor.
  • IP68 protection for use even in extreme environments.
  • Operating temperature between -40°C and 105°C.
  • Acceleration, displacement and inclination data.

Unique Features of the BBOX System

The modularity of the BBOX 2.0 system allows full adaptability to the specific needs of clients, offering highly customizable solutions thanks to its ability to manage a large number of accelerometric sensors, as well as sensors of any other type, through a single datalogger.

The sensors are connected to each other and to the datalogger through a single cable using a daisy-chain configuration, a setup that greatly simplifies both installation operations and maintenance activities over time.

BBOX thus becomes a fundamental tool for ensuring safety and structural integrity, supporting the efficient management of infrastructures and buildings, both civil and industrial.

BBOX 2.0 Datalogger:

  • Management of up to 20 BBOX accelerometric sensors.
  • Real-time processing of 60,000 data points per second.
  • Automatic detection of critical values with remotely configurable thresholds.
  • Compatibility with sensors of any type: environmental, thermal, humidity, advanced inclinometers and vibrometers.
  • Data transmission via LAN network or 4G/5G module.
  • UPS integration to ensure operation even in the event of a power outage.
  • Remote parameter programming, including thresholds, data sampling and more.
  • Remote diagnostics and updates.

Remote Data Control and Management

The BBOX system can be fully managed remotely through a proprietary web app developed by MOSI Srl. The cloud platform allows users to:

  • Perform daily checks.
  • View and compare recorded data, such as accelerations, displacements and inclinations.
  • Download data.
  • Adjust BBOX system parameters, including threshold and data sampling at 32/62.5/125/250/500/1000 Hz.
  • View the maximum values detected during seismic events.
