Built along Provincial Road 51, the bridge over the Tresinaro stream in Rubiera (RE) is a strategic structure that carries heavy vehicle traffic and is also subject to erosion and natural deterioration.

To monitor changes in structural conditions and support periodic inspections, it was decided to install a structural monitoring system equipped with BBOX 2.0 triaxial accelerometer sensors, with continuous data transmission via a mobile network. The system enables:

  • Identify early signs of deterioration or instability.
  • Improving road safety on a busy road.
  • Optimise scheduled maintenance work.
